Resolution #4 For 2014
4. Have a Mentor. Be a Mentor.
I believe at every point in a marriage a spouse should have a mentor, and also be a mentor. Don’t ever stop learning, and the best ways to do that are to have your questions answered, and to teach someone what you have learned. There will always be a person who has been married longer than you, and always someone who is new to marriage, which none of us had any clue about until we actually did it ourselves. Find a person who you can communicate well with, share personal information with, who genuinely cares about you as a person, and who you are not afraid to ask difficult questions. Your growth in marriage as well as life requires you to embrace the tough questions, not hide from them. Discover and explore that growth through mentoring in 2014. I promise you won’t regret it.
